RADIATION THERAPY
Radiation therapy is used to treat many types of cancer. Over a third of all cancer patients require treatment utilizing radiation therapy. On site is a linear accelerator which delivers doses of radiation
to the specific tumor site and modified by using special blocks where required. Utilizing 3-D technology, this protocol gives the physician the ability to effectively see the radiation coverage
to the tumor and limit radiation to the surrounding healthy tissue.
CHEMOTHERAPY
Chemotherapy is the use of medications to control and eliminate cancer. Chemotherapy kills cancer cells and keeps new cancerous cells from growing. It can be administered several ways – pill form, injection or intravenously.
