Gregory Gordon, D.O., - Practice President
Dr. Gordon graduated from College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Chemistry and received his Master of Science in Biochemistry at Ohio State University in
Columbus.
He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Ohio University in Athens.
He then
completed his internship, internal medicine residency and medical oncology fellowship
at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Dr. Gordon is board certified in internal medicine, medical
oncology, and
hospice and palliative care. He has been in private practice since 1993 and with
Dayton Oncology &
Hematology since 1995 and is also Fellowship Director of Oncology & Hematology at Grandview Hospital. Dr. Gordon served as the Medical Director of the
Hospice of Dayton,
as an "I Can Cope" speaker and is a member of many professional organizations including American Osteopathic Association, Ohio Osteopathic Association and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
He now serves as the Practice President for Dayton Oncology & Hematology.
Robert Raju, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Raju obtained his doctorate degree from the Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India,
and went on to complete an internship at Victoria Hospital also in Bangalore. He completed a second internship at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, New York. He then went on to a three-year residency and was named Chief Resident in medicine and a fellow in oncology at Bronx Lebanon Hospital
Center in Bronx, New York. Dr. Raju also participated in a fellowship in oncology at Ellis Fischel
State Cancer Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, where he became Associate Director of Internal
Medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association
of Cancer Research, The American Medical Association and a fellow with the American College of Physicians.
He also served as the director of the outreach program for the Western Pennsylvania
Cancer Institute
in Pittsburgh. Dr. Raju is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
He has been in private practice at Dayton Oncology & Hematology since 1995 and served as the Practice President for ten years.
Olivia Aranha, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Aranha graduated from the University of Bombay, India with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She received a Masters in Biological Sciences from the University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan and a Ph.D. in Pathology from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Aranha completed a post-doctoral fellowship in chemotherapeutics/chemoprevention from Wayne State University as
well
as her residency in internal medicine from Wayne State. She completed her Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology from Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Aranha is board certified
in internal medicine and board eligible in oncology and hematology. She is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians and American Association of Cancer Research. Dr Aranha joined Dayton Oncology and Hematology at
the Center in 2007.
Mark Collins, M.D.
Dr. Collins received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts
and went on to earn his medical degree in Bethesda, Maryland at F. Edward Herbert School of
Medicine. He completed
an internship and a two-year residency in internal medicine and a fellowship
in hematology/oncology at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lakeland
Air Force Base and the University
of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. He has served as a staff physician and as Chief Physician of internal medicine at Bergstrom
Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. He then served as Chief of Hematology and Oncology Services at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Collins is board certifed
in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and is the Oncology Liaison to Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio.
Dr. Collins
is a Retired Lt. Colonel with
the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
He has
been in private practice
with Dayton Oncology & Hematology since 1998.
Philip J. Duncan, M.D.
Philip J. Duncan is a board certified Radiation Oncologist. A graduate of University of Michigan
Medical School in 1981, he started his training at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Radiation Oncology.
His residency was completed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
He is
a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiologists, American College of
Radiology, and the National Medical Association. He has been a radiation oncologist in the
Dayton area since 1985.
Priya Gurumurthy Jain, M.D.
Priya Gurumurthy Jain received her undergraduate and medical degrees at Case Western Reserve
in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her internship, residency and hematology/medical oncology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland. Dr. Jain held
medical positions at the VA Medical Center Urgent Care prior to arriving in Dayton. She is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in medical oncology and hematology. Dr. Jain joined Dayton Oncology & Hematology, Inc. in September 2008.
Satheesh Kathula, M.D.
Dr. Kathula graduated from the Arts & Science College in Warangal, India, with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry and earned his degrees in medicine and surgery
at Siddhartha Medical College at the University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada. He completed
his internship at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
He then completed his oncology/hematology fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Dr. Kathula is board certified
with board
certifications in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology & Hematology. He has been in
private practice since 2002 with Dayton Oncology & Hematology. Dr. Kathula is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Wright State University; Fellow of American College of Physicians;
Member, PET Committee - Miami Valley Hospital; Member, IRB Committee - Miami Valley Hospital; American
Society of Clinical Oncology, Southern Medical Association, American Society
of Hematology.
Gnanamba Varuni Kondagunta, M.D.
Dr. Kondagunta graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY with a Bachelor of Arts in
Mathematics and received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, New York,
NY. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center, New York, NY. Dr Kondagunta completed a Fellowship in Medicine at Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York, NY. In addition, she completed her Fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY. She continued as a staff member in the Department of Genitourinary Malignancies. Dr. Kondagunta is
board certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology. She is a member of ASCO and joined Dayton Oncology and Hematology at the Center in 2007.
Joseph Lavelle, D.O.
Dr. Lavelle received his undergraduate degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a Master of Science. He is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lavelle completed his internship and residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. His fellowship was completed
at
Ohio State University Medical Center/Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is
board certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Lavelle is also Fellowship Director of the Oncology & Hematology Program at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He is an
active member in professional organizations including the American College of Osteopathic Internists, American Osteopathic Association and the American Medical Association.
Ketan (Keith) Shah, M.D.
Dr. Shah completed his undergraduate studies and the first year of medical school at Bombay University. He later earned his medical degree at B.J. Medical College, India. Dr. Shah completed
a fellowship in clinical oncology at Wadley Insitiute of Molecular
Medicine in Dallas, Texas. He
was a resident of internal medicine at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for three
years before going on to a hematology and oncology fellowship at New
York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Shah is board certified in both internal medicine
and medical oncology
and board eligible in hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology,
the American Medical Association and the Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Shah was previously in
private practice with Dayton Internal Medicine Associates and has been at Dayton Oncology & Hematology since 1995.
Alison Barkman, P.A.C., MSM
Alison Barkman is a board certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001. She then graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Master of Science in Medicine in 2004. Alison joined the Radiation Oncology Department of the Greater Dayton Cancer Center in 2004. Her professional organization membership includes the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology.
Kimberly Utendorf, MS, AOCNP
Kimberly Utendorf is an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner. A graduate of Miami University in 2002, she majored in Zoology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. She then received
a Masters of Science in 2005 from Ohio State University as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Kimberly became certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and recently became certified
as
an Advanced Certified Oncology Nurse Practitioner in 2007. She has been employed at the
Greater Dayton Cancer Center since 2005 and works in collaboration with Dr Joseph Lavelle and
Dr. Gregory Gordon.
The Greater Dayton Cancer Center prides ourselves in working closely with the Dayton
Clinical Oncology Program (DCOP) and nationally known, US Oncology Clinical Trials Program. These two entities allow us to be involved in investigations and to stay abreast of
the latest research locally and nationally offering the best care to our valued patients.
